People are told that they are responsible for their financial affairs, but they are never taught how to manage those finances and be successful. Everyone deserves to make trade-offs in life… to have options. That freedom is precious, but we simply can’t make intelligent decisions if we don’t know the alternatives or the cost of those alternatives. From vast experience, we know that people will make the best decisions for themselves and their families (or at least better ones) if they have the knowledge.
